Harvest spikes and odor control
Washing and fermentation create short, intense peaks of organic load and acidity. Equalization and covered lagoons tame shock loads and neighborhood odor complaints.
Anaerobic pretreatment can recover biogas from sugar-rich streams, trimming aeration demand in downstream polishing steps.
For irrigation or equipment washing, tertiary filtration and disinfection matter. RO is uncommon unless salts accumulate from cleaning chemicals or boiler makeup loops.
If a small RO is added for bottle washing or process water, expect a modest reject line. Non-thermal evaporation can suit limited brine volumes where steam is unavailable.
Start with stabilization and energy recovery; add membranes only when reuse quality truly demands it.
