Confirm normal noise signatures, look for unusual mist or drift outside the containment zone, verify pump suction conditions, and check that access gates and guards are latched. Photograph anything new—dates help service teams.
Weekly focus
Inspect strainers, verify flowmeter totals against production logs, and review chemical dosing consistency if antiscalant or pH conditioning is in service. Catch gradual drift before it becomes a weekend shutdown.
Nozzle and distribution paths
Follow the manufacturer schedule for inspection and cleaning. Partial blockages show up as uneven wetting patterns long before they show up as alarms. Always de-pressurize and lock out before hands-on work.
Seasonal items
Before monsoon, check drainage, lightning protection grounding, and roof-level handrails. Before peak summer, confirm motor cooling paths and bearing grease intervals.
When to call the OEM
Vibration step-changes, sustained high amp draw, or visible structural movement warrant a documented service visit rather than in-house experiments.
